Facebook is the worse thing that happened to the youth of this country. This is just one example and not the worse one.
sem , records management

So what if he called her fat? I used to call my teachers much worse things to their faces and never got suspended.
jenifer , לימודים

Oh, the wonders of Facebook! Five thousand years of human culture available online and people talk about a high school student’s fat teacher!
miranda , id scanner

What was she doing reading his posts anyway? It’s like reading someone’s diary without his permission.
tedi , לימודי חינוך מיוחד

Of course he should be suspended! When I was a kid we used to show our elders some respect. You think the teacher should pretend nothing happened?
mayk , דם טבורי

It’s a matter of opinion. I think he shouldn’t be suspended, but I don’t think he should show such disrespect to a teacher.
mat , הסרת שיער

Did he call her fat in class? No! If he is writing a comment on Facebook he can call her worse things, it’s his right.
jonatan , בעלי מקצוע

What does freedom of speech has to do with it? A student should show some respect for his teachers.
ted , Holy land tours

I just read that a high school student in California called his teacher fat on Facebook and got suspended because of it. I guess they never heard of freedom of speech in this poor dude’s high school.

There are some serious questions regarding the usage of Facebook and privacy violations. Personally, I don’t feel comfortable with my children using it. I heard a lot of horror stories about adults impersonating as teenagers.
wilma , בית השקעות

I am a mother to a thirteen year old daughter. My daughter is addicted to Facebook and spends most of the day hooked to the computer screen. I don’t really know what to do and don’t really know if it’s good or bad.
ana , מערכות ישיבה

Facebook, like everything else, can be positive or negative. It all depends on what you do with it. I allow my children to spend up to two hours next to the computer. Setting up limits is up to us parents.
bil , משכנתא

Believe it or not, I actually took a short course about facebook in order to understand exactly what my son is doing. There are a lot of weirdos out there. Us parents need to be aware exactly who our children are communicating with.
nomi , לימודים בחו"ל

I trust my children. I think if I’ll spy on them and interfere with their privacy, they will just find clever ways to hide stuff from me.
doris , קרן השתלמות

The problem is that a manipulative adult can easily trick a child using a social network. I don’t allow my kids to use Facebook. I don’t care if they hate me, their safety comes first.
loiz

To all parents – this is a new age and Facebook is a part of it. Once people thought listening to rock music will ruin their children’s minds. Get over it and live with it.
ron , מלונות בתל אביב

I think not enough is being done to use Facebook for educational purposes. If young people are so attracted to it, we should try, as parents, to harness it to our advantage.
dan , קמפינג בצפון

Chill out people! Facebook is all about talking to friends and finding new ones. What can be wrong with that?
hilery , תואר שני במנהל עסקים

Although I don’t really relate to all the friend finding craze, I am a make up artist and have been using Facebook for the past two years to promote my business with great results.

Seeing that people go out on Facebook arranged dates every day, why not take it to the next level and arrange for people to marry and have virtual kids on Facebook?
adi

I assume you are joking, but I can already imagine people actually doing it and getting marriage proposal messages to approve or deny. A bit sad, isn’t it?
gal

Looks like Google and Facebook have now abandoned the pretense and are conducting open war. I will not be surprised if a new competitor will be the eventual winner.
bil

This is a foolish war. Google is not good with social networks and Facebook is not good with search engines. Can’t they both stick to what they are doing best?
david

My class is having a literature learning group through Facebook. It’s pretty amazing. I never thought learning literature could be so much fun.
