Facebook Incorporation

Facebook is a social networking website that is operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc. Since September 2006, anyone over the age of 13 with a valid e-mail address can become a Facebook user. Facebook's target audience is more for an adult demographic than a youth demographic. Users can add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. Additionally, users can join networks organized by workplace, school, or college.

Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellow computer science students Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. The website's membership was initially limited by the founders to Harvard students, but was expanded to other colleges in the Boston area, the Ivy League, and Stanford University.

So you are saying it’s not good to become a brand name like Nike? They make billions last time I checked. Facebook knows how to do marketing better than Google and they will prevail.
adam , בעלי מקצוע

So Google and Facebook are now officially running a war. Google wants to get into social networking and Facebook wants to be a search engine. Let the games begin!
robert , הלוואות

I think we will all enjoy this war, they will probably give tons of free stuff. I think Facebook is on the rise and has a good chance to kick Google’s hairy asses.
linda

Facebook cannot compete with Google. Once the dust will settle there will be a million social networks that will be just as good.
bil , Holy land tours

I agree, Facebook is just a brand name, like Nike or Coca Cola, people use it because of the hype. There is nothing special about the technology.
jon

I think Google should stick to search engines and Facebook should stick to social networks. They are both making a big mistake by getting into something they don’t do well.
bob

I agree with you. Google will produce a crappy Facebook clone and Facebook will produce a crappy Google clone.
mary , הסרת שיער

Some people say that you can already get better search results from Facebook because of the human factor of people using the like feature.
barak , דם טבורי

I think Facebook will give Google a run for their money. Everything Zuckerberg touches turns into solid gold.
mark

Search results from Google are becoming worse and worse. A lot of what’s out there is just advertizement in disguise. Facebook has a pretty good chance to change the search engine game rules.
robi

I think it will be interesting to see what Facebook will do in the next few years to keep the interest going. I can easily see a social network application for the iPhone taking over.
robert

I’m just back from a terrible blind date. I swear to god, this is the last time I am using a social network like Facebook for dating.
ori

Unlike you, my friend, I have been using Facebook to find love interests and it worked great for me. I’m too busy working to look for love, Facebook really peppered up my love life.
sem

Being a member of the “previous” generation, I can’t quite connect with all the Facebook craze. I tried it, but found it very boring.
yelena

Facebook is boring? Now that’s a first! Facebook makes every aspect of my life more interesting and I’m not talking only about dating. It’s about making the chances of meeting new people limitless.
ralfe

Facebook is changing. I think the more gigantic it becomes the less it serves the interests of its users. I hardly use it any more.
